Frozen In Time is the debut release from 16 year old Colorado native Lidsky, and in spite of the title, the EP moves across all spectrums of music history effortlessly. Vintage samples find themselves to be perfectly at home alongside retro 80's synthesis and smooth vocal chops ripped straight out of 90's boom-bap rap. Every track on the EP has something a little different to offer, and reveals a small part of Lidsky's eclectic musical interests. The opener, "Feeling Tha Blues" flips a Muddy Waters sample into a huge, incredibly danceable booty-shaker of a track. Likewise, tribute gets paid to jazz legend Ornette Coleman in "To See The Light" in a way that not only reflects Lidsky's love for Coleman, but also his philosophies on music as a whole. You won't want to miss this!

Released via Pretty Lights Music, the former DJ used his background in spinning and early hip-hop to help inspire him to create something unique and different than your mainstream EDM. Much like his mentor Derek Vincent Smith (aka Pretty Lights), SuperVision’s 6 track EP has a funky but futuristic vibe to it, relying heavily on samples from old vinyl records. "Proposed by lo-fi recorder and pop auteur Emily Reo, the Clubhouse Split collects songs from four similarly active female musicians, enlisting Johanne Swanson, aka Yohuna; Rebecca Doerfer, aka Brown Bread; and Malee Bringardner, aka MoonLasso. Although many producers attempt to bridge palpable psychedelia into their music, few do it as well as Texas producer Somatoast, who's debut EP "Withinity" is out April 30th on Gravitas Recordings. Swirling chord progressions mix with a motley palette of virtuoso sound design, assuring this album is perfect for a headphone excursion. However, this does not detract from the four track EP's danceability -- strong rhythm is carried through the dubby basslines and bouncy drum arrangements.
