Like the light and dark sides of the yin-yang symbol, vocalist ZandSHE and beatsmith SANGO are each other’s natural complement, their different qualities adding up to a whole greater than the sum of its parts.
"Addiction" LP is a special release for Dusted Wax Kingdom by the mysterious multi-instrumentalist, beatmaker and producer Peach Stealing Monkeys. When The Unity Sextet released their debut album in January 2012 it came as a real surprise. Rarely in the last few years a full-on live band captured the spectrum The Unity Sextet embraced with their unique sound and vision: The open-minded grooves of the Sixties, the spiritual instrumental craftsmanship of the Seventies, the sense of global unity discovered with Acid Jazz in the Eighties, the immediacy and realness of Nineties’ HipHop, all captured in a style and sound which is distinctively „Now“.
With “Time To Shine” Buddy Franco, Fats Young Jr., Cassius Farqhuar, Junior Oliver, Chuck Waldron and Fat Thumbs Ronnie introduce the second chapter of their musical story. Fat Thumbs Ronnie, piano wizard and master of synthesizers, already worked on a collection of his own compositions during the initial Unity Sextet album sessions, but only during this summer after the release of his band’s album he was ready to record. Needless to say, the whole Unity team was on the spot, so were guest musicians Lukas Drinkwater on guitar and Charlie Hearnshaw on saxophone.
„Time To Shine“, as Ronnie called his debut solo collection of eleven tracks, is a love affair with chilled-out, smart rhythms and some expert keyboard work, perfectly put in scene by producer Lack Of Afro: “He was able to get tings out of us we weren’t aware of that they were actually there. That’s quite an achievement if you take into account that we are a little weird bunch of hopeless ego-driven jazz musicians. Nice one!” Check out tracks like “The Betrayal” with its cinematic soundscape taken straight of a French movie of the Seventies, the first class dancefloor jazz of “The Playhouse” or the extra-smooth samba mover “Major Minus”: “Time To Shine” is more like a mere follow-up to The Unity Sextet’s debut, it has its own sparkling moments.

“See Us Through” featuring Huey Morgan
The Fun Lovin’ Criminals frontman Huey Morgan is a cool customer. He raps, plays a mean guitar and host’s radio shows on both BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music. After featuring them on his show, Huey played a blistering guitar solo on JetTricks’ cover of the O’Jays classic ‘For The Love Of Money’. This wasn’t enough though and the collaboration continued with Huey dropping some classic vocals and guitar on ‘See Us Through’ that will have you nod your head in spiritual agreement.
As an added bonus to the digital download package, JetTricks got their friend and remixer of the moment Renegades Of Jazz to get to work on ‘Stephanie’. The German producer takes the track into a new funk & jazzy breaks dimension that’ll rock both the radio and get you shaking your thang on the dancefloor!

Mzuzu and Suro from downtown Hamburg took seriously what Beats International advised back in the days: “The hustle is on the way out, and we gotta come up with a new rhythm”. More than 6 months after the release of his beautiful Ep called Potentiodub , Full Dub is back with a brand new project.

When U Stop Feeling Like A Weirdo & Become A Threat features skittering drums that reference New Orleans bounce and southern trap music circa '98, warbling synths that feel at home among boogie 12-inches of the late '80s, and the low end that is undeniably en vogue currently.
