Mixing electronics with the sounds of the Portuguese guitar might seem odd at first but Portuguese project M-PeX has been mastering it for a couple of years with great public acclaim. His latest release is in the shape of an EP titled Ignis, and brings us 5 tracks with a scent of dubstep surrounding the theme of the ancient theory of the platonic solids.
"Night Driven EP" provides the backdrop for that much needed night drive to clear the mind. I wanted to capture different elements of what it's like and how it feels to get that night drive in. I created a release with the same theme back in 09'. I felt that I needed to revisit that theme again.
These songs bump, but at the same time, have that coolness to it. This way people can groove to it, and at the same time, reflect on things. Play these tunes to revitalize and get your mind right. In reflection, Nangdo pelts right in on this Bootyleg release and voyages out of his traditional soul-sample vibe and into the Bass world of 808’s, hi-hats, futuristic synths, and re-discovered vocals. This EP has a great variation of soundscapes encompassing deep vibes mixed with juke influences. The Bass world today is one that is undeniable with it’s constant energy and it because of this reason that all of us keep tapping into new boundaries. After releasing a combination of singles and remixes, Chrome Sparks dropped his fully original EP today. After coming relatively out of nowhere, it surprises as well as delivers when it comes to hip jerking, complex electro. Jeremy Malvin (Sparks) actually hooks up with blog favourite, Steffaloo, on two of the EP’s tracks. She gives the whole things a new dimension, combining with the stumbling and sharp beats to create something altogether more mellow and sedated.

Hip-Hop duo, Hy-Definition (which consists of Producer SoulChef and Lyricist K.Wiz), present their latest project "The Voices".
The Voices pays homage to five distinguished artists who have inspired Hy-Definition's sound. The music of Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, David Ruffin, Michael Jackson, and Selena represent the dichotomy between talent and tragedy. Each Song on the EP is sampled from these 5 legends.
These artists were all taken from us before their time and all we have left are their voices their recordings.
The Voices is produced entirely by SoulChef who lays down the foundation with Soul Sampled, boom bap beats. While K.wiz expresses through lyrical wizardry about family, life, self reflection, music and future hopes. Featurings by Nieve, Noah King, Trace Blam and Marie add the finishing touches by adding a bit of contrast to K.wiz's Vocals.
